Pepco Holdings joins MDV-SEIA as a sponsor for the 10th annual Solar Focus Conference. MDV-SEIA is proud to partner on this event with First Solar, an active regional solar stakeholder in the Mid-Atlantic.

About Pepco Holdings

Based in Washington, D.C., Pepco Holdings (PHI), a subsidiary of Exelon Corporation (NYSE: EXC), is one of the largest energy delivery companies in the Mid-Atlantic region, serving more than 2 million customers in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland and New Jersey. PHI subsidiaries Pepco, Delmarva Power and Atlantic City Electric provide regulated electricity service; Delmarva Power also provides natural gas service. PHI has more than 460 MWs of solar in service in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Today, 34,000 PHI customers produce their own solar power, compared to 20,500 a year ago, and the number continues to rise. PHI wants to help customers embrace solar power: “We’re making it faster and easier for our customers to install solar panels and connect them to Pepco’s electric grid. This connection to the grid is important because customers want to be able to sell excess solar power back to the grid when they are producing more than they need; and take power from grid when they aren’t generating enough.”

PHI also supported the District of Columbia’s Community Renewable Energy Facilities program, which allows multiple customers to purchase shares or subscriptions in a single renewable energy facility.
