About Urban Grid
Founded in 2011, Urban Grid is a leading developer of utility-scale solar power plants in the Mid-Atlantic. Urban Grid serves a broad spectrum of the industry, bringing a unique perspective to the development process. Urban Grid currently operates in Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, the District of Columbia, and New York.
Urban Grid has more than 250 MW of solar projects connected and online in locations including Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, New Mexico, New York and the United Kingdom. Currently, more than 530 MW of solar projects are under development.
Urban Grid develops, finances and owns distributed generation solar projects. Urban Grid has an in-house development fund and an internal project investment group that owns and operates the distributed generation solar projects. Urban Grid believes this asset ownership perspective influences their approach to utility scale project development. There is a greater understanding of how project owners approach transactions and maneuver those negotiations much more efficiently.
